Josh stopped at Teevs doors. He hesitated in pushing the chime, worried that he might be intruding on Teevs and Kerilia privacy but he wanted to know how the girl was doing after her rescue from the prison he had been held in. "You don't need to stay long." He told himself "Just stopped by to check on Kerilia and how she was doing." He took a breath and his finger jabbed at the door chime. *Maybe they aren't home.* He thought as he waited to see if anyone would come to the door. Standing there, he swore he could hear Anna laughing at his nervousness.

Teevs had been watching a holomovie when the chime sounded. With a faint grimace, he pushed himself up. There was still some lingering stiffness, which had been expected, but it was the first time that he began to feel like age was simply catching up to him. He took his time coming to the door, then glanced up at the semi-familiar face. He was there when he was briefing the diplomats; he must be one of their protection officers. "Hello, how may I help you?" He asked.

"Hel, Hello." Josh stammered nervously as he now stood more or less at attention. "I'm sorry to bother you sir. I'm Captain Young. I was the one who rescued your daughter and I just wanted to stop by and see how she was recovering." The words coming out in a rush as he stood there in corridor, now feeling foolish for coming by. "I hope your recovery is going well." He added quickly.

The polite recognition melted into something different. Relief, or perhaps gratefulness. It recognised that the man on the other side of the threshold had protected someone so incredibly dear to Teevs. "It's no bother, please," Teevs said, extending an invitation into the quarters. "We're adjusting, gradually. I think both of us are just taking things one day at a time. A lot has... you know... happened."

Josh hesitated briefly at the invitation. "Are you sure?" He asked even as he took the steps to enter the quarters. "Yes sir, I'm sure you both are taking it slow and yes you both have had a great deal deal to cope with and move on from. I think taking it slow, getting back into familiar routines would be beneficial and help in moving past your recent ordeals. But.... "I'm no expert. I just know it helped me." He stated without going into any added explanation."

Teevs nodded, then noticed the man's awkwardness. The gratefulness extended itself into a bit of a smile. "You saved my daughter's life, Mister Young. I assure you that you are welcome here." His smile faltered slightly when his gaze shifted toward the door to her bedroom. "I think she's still in shock over not being able to return to our planet. It will take time, but I know she likes the Elysium and I hope this place can help her."

Josh nodded at Teevs's heartfelt words. "I appreciate that Mister Teevs. I certainly do. I also hope your daughter can overcome the pain and shock of not returning to your world. She however take hope that there are worlds and people to meet and explore." Josh paused before adding, "If your daughter needs someone to talk to, to express her feelings to we have very caring and compassionate counselors on board ." He then added, "It is only a suggestion."

"And not a bad one," Teevs agreed. He paused, uncertain if he actually wanted to know, before swallowing his nerves. "From what you saw... did they..." He glanced toward her door again, "did they do anything to her? I want to make sure that I don't make things worse by mistake.",

Josh heard and understood the question and the concern fueling such a question. His eyes drifted in the direction Teevs's did toward his daughter's door. "I understand sir and no sir, from what I observed of your daughter she wasn't assaulted in a sexual way."

Relief washed over Teevs as he nodded. He already resented his sister for endangering his child, but if Kerilia had been physically or, by Thilia's mercy, sexually abused, he might've asked Phoenix to turn the ship around so he could kill Ailova. "That's good to hear. Sickbay didn't report anything, but with seventeen people rescued they were undoubtedly busy..."

Kerilia door slid open, revealing a teenager who looked like she had awoken from a nap. Hair slightly disheveled and a comfortable oversized tshirt with knee-length shorts peeking out from underneath. She was mid-yawn when she realised that there was a conversation happening. Her eyes glanced between Teevs and the other person. He seemed familiar...

Hearing the door slide open, Teevs quickly ended their conversation. He didn't want to worry her. "How was your nap, pheya?" He asked her.

Still eyeing the semi-familiar person, Kerilia gave a slight nod. "It was alright. Um..."

"Trust me sir. Sickbay wouldn't have missed anything like that and you would have been made aware instantly." Josh replied. "I'm sure it puts your mind at ease. It would mine if I had a daughter." He stopped as Kerilia's door opened and she came into the room. He noticed her sleepy, slightly disheveled look as she eyed him. "It's Captain Young, Miss Kerilia. I rescued you from the prison. I just stopped by to see how you were doing."

Much of him had been hidden beneath tactical gear, but Kerilia recognised the voice now. "It's you..." she breathed, as her form relaxed. She then nodded, "I'm alright. Um... can I give you something?"

Josh shook head and smiled, Yes, it's me and no, no thank you though I appreciate the offer. As I was telling your father, I just wanted to come by and see how you were doing after your recent ordeal. Is there anything I can do to help you?" He looked at Teevs as well, "Do you both need anything? I'm happy to assist you if there is."

Kerilia was admittedly a little disappointed. She had wondered who had saved her, hoping to show her appreciation with something she'd made while staying with Addison. Josh seemed almost nervous to be in the quarters, so she didn't press it. She shook her head to his question.

Teevs glanced to Kerilia before focusing on Josh. "I think we're alright, Mister Young. Thank you for the visit, and for your service."

Josh noticed Kerilia's look. She looked disappointed. "Miss Kerilia, I think I may have misheard you. Did you say you wanted to give me something?"

The disappointment shifted into something more hopeful, and Kerilia quickly disappeared into her room. A few seconds later, she returned with a box about the size of a book. "I, uh... am not that good at it, but I had time while I was staying with Addison."

Josh took the box, looking at Kerilia. "Thank you." He replied sincerely as he opened the box to view its contents.

Inside the box was a green scarf. It looked like crochet or some other kind of lateral weaving technique. It was best described as... well, having character; it had some uneven rows, a piece of yarn wasn't woven in, and it was long enough that one would have to wrap it a couple extra times for it to have a modest appearance. At least the yarn chosen was comfortable.

Josh was speechless at Kerilia's kindness as well as thoughtfulness. He looked at the scarf and then to Kerilia. "It's beautiful!! I love the color." He exclaimed as he took the scarf out of the box and wrapped it around his neck. "Thank you so much Miss Kerilia, How do I look?"

Teevs' eyes widened slightly in surprise. He didn't know she had made something for Josh. "Wow!"

It wasn't quite accurate to say that Kerilia smiled, but the timidness eased up a little to make room for contentment. "It looks good," she replied with a nod. "It's for getting me back to the ship. I'm glad you like it."

"You didn't have to do this Miss Kerilia but I'm glad you did. Everyone who sees it will be envious. I thank you again for your thoughtfulness. The scarf, It's amazing."

Kerilia simply nodded again, shyness creeping in.

"I agree," Teevs commented. He looked to Josh and offered a hand in the friendly Human gesture. "Thank you for stopping by, and for everything you did for us. You're welcome back anytime."

Josh extended his hand and gripped Teevs in a firm handshake. "You are welcome Mr. Teevs and thank you for the invitation to come back. I may just do that, so, don't be surprised if you see me again." He looked back Kerilia, "You take care Miss Kerilia."
