As mentioned during the briefing in sickbay, there was a tour of the detention centre for the new recruits that provided an ideal window to get inside the detention centre. The Elysium coordinated transport with a shuttle that was headed for the surface to avoid transporting through Sama's defense grid. They arrived in Jekasp, and there was notable deference from the Lonian civilians as the team got their bearings. As if nobody wanted to cause trouble or draw attention.

Alicia could sense the difference immediately. People were afraid of the guards and no doubt with good reason.

Kara moved up beside the chief counselor and let her gaze sweep slowly. "Okay lets move on"

Alicia nodded to Kara. “Good idea.”

J'Air took in as much as she could of the instructions, descriptions, expectations and clues they had been given and attempted to apply as many of them as she could in the reality of arriving and seeing what it all looked like 'in the flesh' as it were. It was beginning to flesh out slowly as they began to move out.

The group then moved in the direction of the meeting point, a landing strip that was just outside of town. Waiting were maybe two dozen others in the blue uniforms, and a Lieutenant (indicated by three pips) checked people in. The guard merely nodded when the four new recruits handed their access keys over, handing the chips back once they were touched to a datapad. Contrary to the civilians, the recruits were excited to tour the detention centre and impress Lady Sama enough to work there.

Once the group was ready, the Lieutenant typed something onto the datapad before letting it rest by his side. There were a couple new recruits who joined last minute, but their invitations checked out. "Attention, recruits!"

The officers who had been conversing amongst themselves stopped talking immediately and straightened.

Obediently, J'Air pulled herself to attention and stared straight ahead, appearing to zone out as she awaited whatever the officer was going to offer them.

Alicia followed suit standing to attention waiting for what was to come next.

Seeing the attention shift, the guard continued. "I am Lieutenant Seev. I am your tour guide and your evaluator today. Lady Sama only picks three per recruitment cycle, so you have to impress her more than you strive to impress me." He paused only briefly. "Your access keys have been activated to allow you entry without setting off the alarms. As you are a decently sized group, please stay together."

"Sir" J'Air's voice added to the combination of all the others who responded the same. She was still keeping her head down as instructed and doing her best to simply be too mundane to be noticed.

Camryn, cleverly disguied as a Lonian, walked along silently while checking over her notes. She nodded, following the group.

Seev touched the communicator strapped to his wrist and informed the recipient that they were ready, and a couple seconds later the group transported into a chamber. It was large enough to fit the 20 or so recruits and their escort, but the number of people gave the room a cramped feel. Seev explained that this was where people were brought in and arrested here to avoid causing a public disturbance. They went deeper into the prison, through a processing room where a prisoner could be seen being changed into the prison attire via the transporter pads, the holding cells where prisoners waited to be taken for questioning, and then down lengths of corridor to see the operations centre and interrogation rooms.

As they walked, they passed by some smaller rooms with consoles. Some of them were empty, as indicated by their doors left open.

J'Air was still trying not to be noticed but she was looking at the side rooms with interest, nonchalantly as if she hadn't even seen them. All she needed was a distraction from someone else to take the guards' attention and then perhaps she might be able to sneak off.

As she was thinking this, it came to her that maybe if SHE made a distraction, then someone else would have been running through similar thoughts as her own and needing a diversion as well. She took more intense notice, searching for any opportunity to either slide away or make it possible for someone else to do it, if anyone seemed closest to an open door or dork corridor.

Kara carefully walked towards a wall, looking around as if she was just curious, then she headed down another corridor, alone.

Alicia watched Kara disappear out of her peripheral vision. Pretending to look around she found a moment to do the same, disappearing down another corridor.

J'Air saw them go and was holding her breath to hope they wouldn't be noticed but just to be sure, she deliberately tripped and stumbled on an uneven flagstone on the floor in the corridor where it drained back in case of any leaks. Well that was what she was imagining/guessing but she didn't want to give it too much thought in case something worse occurred to her imagination in this dark, depressive, dank place. She made a rather too loud gasp as she pretended to be off balance but straightened back up as soon as she had the attention of the nearest guards. Righting herself and muttering about how clumsy she was, she didn't get so much of their attention as to make any of them feel obliged to investigate to see if she were hurt. She began walking again soon enough to reassure them she wasn't going to slow them down and thus her diversion was complete, undetected and successful, if she had to say so herself. She suppressed any smugness and limped just a tiny bit for the next several yards to add authenticity and tapered it off quite fast, making sure they forgot all about it.... and her, hopefully, without any delay.

A couple of the new recruits focused their attention on J'Air, making sure she was ok before the group continued on. None of them noticed Alicia and Kara as they slipped away.

The computer rooms were modest, containing a console or two and wall displays. Some contained extra storage cupboards, and some had a more ominous feel as well as extra space and darker spots on walls that no light shadow could recreate.

Kara had made her way to a console and sat down pretending to work. She brought up everything she could find.

It only took a minute to acquire the data, and not much longer to find the group again. Lieutenant Seev had stopped to let some other guard boast about her job, and he didn't notice the prior decrease and subsequent increase in numbers. All he saw was a swarm of faces trying their hardest to stand out enough to mean something to those reviewing applications. "Alright, move along," he said, gesturing with his hands to move the tour along.
